We are very pleased to announce that after a three year implementation and auditing period AMD Contract Services Ltd has successfully achieved ISO 45001, the world’s first global health and safety management system. This award completes the gold standard trio of management system awards that the company has achieved in this time period with awards in both Environmental Management and Quality Management already in the portfolio.
The new international standard, ISO 45001:2018, was only released in March 2018 and AMD has worked hard to gain this accreditation to show their commitment to the health and safety of their employees and clients.
ISO 45001:2018 is an International Standard that specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system, to enable organisations to proactively improve their safety performance in preventing accidents, injury and ill health.
For any company, the road to certification requires time and commitment. AMD began their internal preparations for certification and transition in January 2020, by evaluating their existing procedures and aligning them with the new requirements. The team has worked tirelessly since then to implement continual improvements in documentation and procedures, in what have being trying and unpresedened circumstances over the last number of years. In June & September 2022, LRQA performed the mandatory audits and they then notified AMD of their achievement of the successful achievement of ISO 45001.
As a company who constantly strives to continually improve our systems, having an effective occupational health and safety management system is paramount for us. This is why we are extremely honoured to have successfully achieved this new standard, all of the services offered by the company are covered in this audit and if you are interested in any of these please do not hesitate to get in touch for more information
